Welcome to Bigfork Montana!

 

This quaint Western village was chosen as "One of the 50 Great Towns of the West," designated as "One of the 100 Best Small Art Towns of the Nation," and was listed in National Geographic’s Guide to Small Town Escapes, which is no surprise given its gourmet restaurants, fun shops, local character, beautiful natural surroundings, and a host of outdoor activities.

Flathead Lake

 

Flathead Lake, located just south of Kalispell, is the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. It is 28 miles long and up to 15 miles wide - 188 square miles! Boating, swimming, water-skiing, and exploring the shores are just a few of the activies on this amazing lake. The water sparkles and the sunsets are a photographers dream. The magnificent Swan and Mission mountain ranges provide the eastern shore backdrop.

Glacier National Park

 

Glacier National park, "Crown of the Continent" is one of the most popular parks in the nation. Only 50 miles north of the Bigfork area. It is home to the largest Grizzly Bear popular in North America. With over 700 miles of trails it is a hikers paradise. Majestic mountain peak are everwhere you look and over 760 lakes dot the area. You would need many trips to see everything. Travel on one of the park's shuttles or red busses.

Home of the Bigfork Summer Playhouse

Eagle Bend Golf Course

 

27 holes of picturesque scenery, Eagle Bend Golf Course is one of the best in the west. 18 holes were designed by William Hull and completed in 1984. An additional 9 holes were disigned by Jack Nicklaus, opening in 1995. This course promises to challenge your skills with sculptured fairways and excellent greens while displaying views of the Flathead Lake and Swan Mountains.
